Police Search Vehicle, Arrest 2 On Drug Charges

No one wants to get pulled over by a police officer. In addition to it being an inconvenience, those inside the vehicle may face questioning from the officer, and if the officer does not like the answers, a more serious investigation could occur. Unfortunately, for some, a traffic stop could end up leading to drug charges.

It was recently reported that two men in North Carolina faced such an ordeal. Apparently, officers had stopped a vehicle in a parking lot for an undisclosed reason. The traffic stop took place just after 5:30 p.m., and though details were not provided on why officers felt the need to do so, they conducted a search of the vehicle. During that search, law enforcement allegedly found controlled substances.

Purportedly, over 170 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 70 Oxycodone pills were discovered. As a result, the occupants of the vehicle, a 35-year-old man and a 46-year-old man, were taken into custody. The younger man is facing charges for trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. The older man was charged with trafficking methamphetamine.

These North Carolina men undoubtedly do not want this situation to have negative effects on their lives. However, criminal drug charges can have serious consequences if accused parties are convicted of such allegations.
