One person is currently facing a drunk driving charge after a recent crash in North Carolina. According to reports, a 35-year-old man was driving a vehicle west when he failed to keep the vehicle on the road. As a result, the vehicle collided with a tree and flipped. The driver and two passengers were inside the vehicle, and it was noted that all individuals were wearing seat belts at the time.
Unfortunately, the incident claimed the life of a 37-year-old woman and left the driver and other passenger with injuries. The surviving individuals were transported from the scene to an area hospital. Authorities believe that alcohol contributed to the crash, and as a result, the driver is facing a charge for DWI. It was not mentioned whether any breath or blood tests were conducted to determine the driver’s blood-alcohol concentration level or what other details contributed to the suspicion of alcohol as a contributing factor.
